In order to ensure the expected lifespan of the synchronous belt, the diameter of the small synchronous belt pulley should be greater than the minimum allowable bending diameter in the table above, and then converted into the minimum number of teeth. As long as the structure and cost allow, considering the lifespan of the synchronous belt, it is better to have slightly more teeth on the small wheel than the minimum allowable number of teeth. After determining the number of teeth on the small wheel, the number of teeth on the large wheel can be determined based on the transmission ratio. Then determine the center distance between the two pulleys based on the structure, and calculate the pitch length or total number of teeth according to the pitch of the synchronous belt.
